This model was quite lovely to draw

Model half reclining I’m happy with this picture. Again no face but I’m concentrating on getting the large parts of the body right first - then I’ll worry about the little bits. The year is fast approaching the end and I’m looking forward to a break.

While I don’t know that I’m improving - I feel that I’m more confident or more decisive about my strokes. Either way it seems to help. Some times I loose my way. We often stop to look at each others work and I have to say that some of the work being produced is good.

One of the really good things about preparing the paper by coating it in paint is that the charcoal can be wiped off with a brush of the hand. Putting on too much fixer makes it run, so you have to be patient. My favourite colour at present is the orange kiss.

To view this weblog the way that I imagined it - you will need to download the script font Jeana. Here is the link to the True Type font with instructions for download and PC installation. I believe that Mac OSX users are also able to use this file.
