Today we were given instructions to draw with the opposite to your normal hand. In my case with the left. This is the result of a 30 second sketch.

Maria scratched out with charcoal using my left hand.

Michele our teacher is of the opinion that we draw more freely because we are concentrating on looking at the model and not at the paper. Many of my lines didn’t seem to be connected to the rest of the picture - so she may well be right.

She also says that we draw more anatomically accurately, well as a rough outline I think this left handed attempt approximates the model’s shape better than most of the other drawings I have done of her.
